Straight off the back of a Kinsale Shark Award win and a YDA nomination, Sye Allen joins MindsEye for representation.
Currently living between Paris and London, Sye is a filmmaker that refuses to be boxed in. He’s as adept at crafting beautifully choreographed performances and jaw-dropping technical wizardry as he is delivering confident, comedic nuance. His versatile body of work is unified by an unmistakable aesthetic and a strong, committed sense of story.
In 2016 he entered the world of commercials, founding APOSTLE, the production arm for the UK’s oldest independent advertising agency. He’s since directed campaigns for the likes of Pepsi Max, Vanish and WestJet, working with talent ranging from Bill Nighy to Michelle Keegan. He’s received numerous accolades for his work; his commercial for Mooncup winning a London International Award, his short film Beasts winning gold at the International Human Rights Festival and his latest short, the Empty Chair, winning a Kinsale Shark.
