Alistair was born in a taxi cab and grew up obsessed with Wallace & Gromit, Wind In the Willows and (a bit later) Michael Gondry videos.
He pursued that love to uni, studying animation, and then (after a brief stint as a taxidermist) pursued it further, becoming a stop-motion animator and director for a range of artists and brands, including Louis Vuitton, Nickelodeon and Salomon. He’s also won a Young Guns award at the One Club for Creativity in 2023 (and a 15m swimming certificate). He’s known for embracing the handmade feel of stop-motion (fingerprints and a slight wobble.)
His favourite candy is Jelly Babies.
